Feast of the Most Holy Trinity

John 16:12-15

Feast Day Reflection by Sister Eileen Burns

Planner, maker, creator God,
all that exists is the work of your fingers.
We breathe in your goodness and
It makes us singers.

Word of truth,
You are a passageway to peace.
Our good Jesus, the memory
Of you in us will never cease.

Spirit of goodness and holiness,
you are poured forth in delight.
Teach us, animate us, and revive us,
keep your wisdom ever in our sight.

All that is, all that we are,
beautiful in our diversity;
yearning, longing
to know our unity.

Choosing mutuality, draw us in.
Honoring our uniqueness, send us out.
Let this be what we, your people,
are all about.

You (and we) are plural and at the same time one.
You search, sustain and save.
Love crashing into us and carrying us
in an endless wave.

Your love, O God
be poured forth in each heart
from your enduring communion
never let us part.
